Broomfield Christmas Toy Run
The Dengie and South Essex Bikers hosted their second annual Broomfield Christmas Toy Run this weekend, and Bike Devil were there!
Over 40 motorcycles of all shapes and sizes, including a goldwing towing a sleigh, set off from Maldon, riding to Broomfield Hospital on Saturday 7th December.
The festive riders and pillions, dressed in costumes including Santa’s, elves and reindeer, were delivering toys to poorly children who are spending the festive season in hospital.
Bike Devil’s very own Courtney and Dean were taking part in the event.
Courtney was driving a car full of toys, teddy bears, books, DVDs, etc. kindly donated by employees of Bike Devil/Right Choice Insurance to add to the stacks of toys donated by all taking part in the event.
Dean was one of the Santa’s taking part in the ride, riding his Suzuki SV650.
Throughout the route, which passed through Maldon High Street, the Bikers were met with smiling faces and friendly waves, before arriving at Broomfield hospital where the toys were delivered and children on the wards got to meet the Santa’s.
The ride was well organised and thanks to the organisation of Dengie and South Essex Bikers, hundreds of toys were delivered to Broomfield Hospital.
